CTET Exam December 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the educational requirements set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE):

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or a 1-year B.Ed. program.

For Paper I (Classes I to V):

Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

For Paper II (Classes VI to VIII):

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or a 1-year B.Ed. program.

CTET Exam December 2024 Structure and Content of the Exam

CTET 2024 will consist of two papers:

• Paper I: For candidates who wish to teach classes I to V.
• Paper II: For candidates who wish to teach classes VI to VIII.

Each paper will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a total of 150 marks. The questions will cover:

1. Child Development and Pedagogy
2. Language I
3. Language II
4. Mathematics (for Paper I) or Social Studies/Science (for Paper II)
5. Environmental Studies (for Paper I)

There is no negative marking in the exam.
